I picked up the balm mostly for my dog’s dry snout, not expecting much beyond basic hydration. It’s actually held up really well. It doesn’t sit like a wax layer; it absorbs and stays put and I see a significant difference in the dryness. It feels better than most of the lip balms I’ve used for her. No strong smell either, which I prefer.

I’ll admit I didn’t really buy into “skincare for pets” at first. But after a few weeks of using both the barrier shine coat serum and the snout balm, I can see the difference in how my dog’s coat feels. It’s softer, less rough to touch, and easier to manage. I’ve actually been using the balm myself too because my lips were very dry, and it has helped me a lot, so I feel quite assured using it for my dog as well. The ingredient list was a surprise, I never thought peptides or ceramides would be used for animals.

I started using the coat serum regularly after baths and a little in between. The coat does not feel greasy at all, which was my biggest concern. It seems to nourish the barrier and gives a very nice sheen to Spykar’s coat. It’s not an overnight change, but over time it just looks healthier and softer. I also like that it doesn’t have any added fragrance, just a very mild natural scent.

I’ve only been using Follicle Rise for a couple of weeks on my dog so I can’t say much about shedding control yet. But I am noticing a slight sheen on the coat already, and the thinning patches already feel slightly dense and that’s a good sign.

I was honestly a bit tired of using oils because they start feeling sticky after a point. This is much lighter and absorbs quickly. The coat feels fresh and soft, and that dullness has reduced quite a bit. My cat is usually picky, but this has been easy to use regularly.
